Audio/Visual Director
16 hours per week.   $20-$25/hr based on experience

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is looking for an experienced Audio/Media Director. The goal of this position is to lead the Worship Tech Team to serve the congregation by providing a skillful and excellent avenue for the church to see, hear, feel, and respond to God in worship. This role is responsible for making the communication of the gospel as seamless, effective, and intentional as possible.

Experience in mixing sound for live worship services is required. This position is for someone who can work with the Worship/Creative Arts Pastor and team volunteers to execute engaging worship ministries to help further the mission of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

The Audio/Visual Director must be able to manage, schedule, and train a team of volunteers that will help create a collaborative environment with everyone moving towards the same goal. The Audio/Visual Director must also excel at paying attention to detail in order to create the most excellent worship services possible.

Job Responsibilities

• Run sound for worship rehearsals and worship services.
• Oversee the live stream audio, cameras, screens, and lighting volunteers.
• Assist Worship Pastor in setting up staging for rehearsals and services.
• Work with Worship Pastor to create and shape the appropriate sound in the sanctuary and on the live stream.
• Work with the Creative Arts Pastor to craft the atmosphere and look of each service.
• Prepare the congregational lyric screens and videos, camera presets, and lighting scenes.
• Assist discipleship classes with technology needs for Bible studies.
• Oversee the Student Ministry audio/media needs for Wednesday night student worship.
• Work with the Worship Pastor to set up audio and staging for large events (4th of July, Fall Festival, Lil’ Sluggers, Movie Nights, Mud Bowl, etc.).
• Oversee the audio/visual needs of all special events within the sanctuary (Revivals, conferences, choir rehearsals, weddings, VBS, etc.).
• Schedule all technology volunteer positions for Pleasant Grove as needed.

• Experience running FOH sound for live events/worship services.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with strong communication skills.
• Ability to instruct volunteers and disciple them.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Strong ability to problem solve and find solutions on the fly.
• Self-driven to pursue excellence.
• Ability to take direction and collaborate with pastors.
• Physically capable to assist in staging and audio set ups.
• Fundamental understanding of worship band sound structure and audio equipment.
• Knowledgeable with ProPresenter 7, digital audio mixers (Allen & Heath Sq7), digital lighting consoles (Vista 3 by Chroma-Q), video editing software, and remote cameras with live stream.

Hours and Pay

• Must be present Wednesdays (5 hrs.) from 4:00-9:00pm.
• Must be present Sundays (6 hrs.) from 6:30am-12:30pm.
• Flexible schedule to accomplish special event needs and team training,
• Additional hours needed throughout the week to prepare lighting, screens, staging, training, and livestream.

16 hours per week.   $20-$25/hr based on experience
