Children’s Ministry Director Full Time

Primary Purpose
Work with the NextGen team to create a vision for the children’s ministry (birth – 6th grade) at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church and lead volunteers, kids, and parents in that vision.
 
Main Responsibilities
▪      Recruit, train, and equip volunteers in all children environments including Sunday morning, Wednesday night, Kids Club+, summer camp, and any other programming that includes children.
▪      Manage the week-to-week operations of the children’s ministry (set-up, attendance, incident reports, stocking supplies, curriculum, etc.).
▪      Be present/available at all normal children’s ministry programs.
▪      Oversee all aspects of Planning Center in relation to children’s ministry and use it for attendance, follow-up, reporting, messaging, scheduling, etc. 
▪      Plan and organize several events throughout the year specifically for children, including several off-campus events for the Preteen group.
▪      Work with the NextGen team to manage a safe environment for our kids in conjunction with the Child Protection Policies of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church. Ensure everyone in the children’s ministry is abiding by those policies.
▪      Work with the NextGen team in setting and maintaining the Children’s Ministry budget.
▪      Manage and coordinate a communication strategy to inform parents and volunteers of upcoming events.
▪      Supervise the preschool director and meet weekly to ensure there is cohesion in all children’s ministry environments.
▪      Work closely with the NextGen team and be a key contributor in milestone events related to children.
▪      Seek opportunities to partner with schools in the area.
▪      Be the point person to offer suggestions to the Pastoral staff with ways to grow the children’s ministry.
▪      Be the first point of communication for parents and guests and be able to troubleshoot, problem solve, and diffuse situations.

▪      Be a team player willing to be an active participant in all NextGen related activities.
▪      Be passionate about children’s ministry.
▪      Be an actively contributing member of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church.
▪      Be willing to perform other duties as assigned.
