SENIOR PASTOR—Full Time

Job Description:

The Senior Pastor of Raleigh Road Baptist Church (RRBC), in conjunction with the plurality of elders, provides the overall direction of the church through teaching the Word, shepherding the flock, communicating our mission, and multiplying leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ministry of the Word – Internalize the Word of God and communicate it regularly through sound biblical exposition.
• Mission & Strategy – Nurture,  communicate and support  the mission of RRBC – “To Exalt Christ and make disciples who impact our city and the world” – through our discipleship strategy and missionary efforts.
• Leadership Development – Join the elders in executing the mission of the church through equipping leaders for the work of ministry.
• Pastoral Care – Care for the flock through fulfilling pastoral responsibilities.
• Personal Growth and Development – Pursue holiness and ministry growth in comprehensive fashion.
• General Administration – Provide administrative support to the church office.

Requirements:

Education – Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited Southern Baptist seminary or other similar accredited seminary.

Experience – Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Pastor or Associate Pastor to adults in a church of similar size to RRBC.

Church Information:

RRBC is located in Wilson, North Carolina, which is approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh and two hours from the Atlantic Ocean.

RRBC is committed to our partnership with Casa de Dios, a mostly Hispanic church which meets weekly on our campus, reaching Spanish speaking people in the Wilson area.

RRBC is also committed to our partnership with a church plant in Greenville and our church plant in Honduras

RRBC is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, North Carolina Baptist State Convention and The Pillar Network.

RRBC offers one Sunday morning service at 10:45am (average attendance 220), Life Groups for all ages, Wednesday evening discipleship ministries for all ages,  weekly adult Discipleship groups and Sunday night youth ministries.
