Senior Pastor Full Time

Real Life Church, Yuma, AZ, is currently seeking a full-time Senior Pastor

REAL LIFE Church (RLC) is a multi-generation, multi-ethnic, elder-led, biblically centered Southern Baptist church of approximately 230 attenders in the City of Yuma, AZ.  RLC exists to lead our community to life transformation found only in Jesus Christ. Our intent is to be scripturally sound and Christ-exalting in all aspects of church life. We have three high schools and six elementary schools nearby, with two military bases in the area, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and U.S Army Yuma Proving Ground. RLC is located 22 miles north of the border with Sonora, Mexico.

Primary Role:
The senior pastor serves as an elder serving along with the elder body, which is responsible to shepherd and develop the church body and the ministries of RLC. The senior pastor will preach and teach and oversee the church staff in the day-to-day operations of RLC.
Competencies and Responsibilities
Have a growing and thriving relationship with God
Lead and preach in two English-language Sunday services and on other special occasions
Prepare and present Bible-based messages that lead to real-life transformation in Jesus
Provide biblical pastoral care, as required, to regular attenders of the church
With the elders, support and develop the vision, direction and strategy of RLC including evangelism and discipleship
Help recruit, train, and equip leaders in the church body
Relate well with RLC church body and the local community
With the elders, shepherd the RLC church body
Have good budgeting and management skills
Oversee the Small Group Ministry of RLC 
 
 Position structure: 
Full Time – Salary package with benefits and paid vacation.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with biblical education is preferred
A minimum of five years of pastoral experience is preferred
Have proven leadership and management skills
Have strong preaching and teaching skills
Have strong relational and team-building skills
Have organizational skills for growing, mobilizing, and maintaining a strong and effective team  
Have strong written and oral communication skills
Cross-cultural awareness and experience are desirable; fluency in Spanish is a plus
Needs to be Southern Baptist or willing to work in cooperation with Southern Baptist Partners
Must be able to pass a background check
