Worship Pastor Full Time

Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Renewal Church in Boston, MA as they search for their next Worship Pastor. Renewal Church is a 10 year old church plant led by Jared Kirk, the Founding Pastor, and a team of elders. This church sits in Boston Common and is reaching primarily young adults. The congregation is blessed to have a gifted and unified staff team of paid and volunteer members. While the church has SBC roots and is theologically conservative, it isn’t like any you have probably ever seen in that they are very non denominational in their approaches to ministry and mission, modern in their worship style, very ethnically diverse, and the average age of the church is in their mid twenties. This is an exciting church that has a heart for the lost and the city of Boston. They are excited for who God is already preparing to join them and they live out their mission to see Jesus made famous, people made whole, and Boston made new.

POSITION OVERVIEW

To cultivate a culture of Christ exalting worship in the church that is accessible to non Christians by leading your teams to model excellent worship on stage and in all of life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute the worship system for the church
• Recruit, prepare, equip, and inspire volunteers to model excellent worship on and off stage
• Make disciples in your teams, in group life, and in the course of pastoral ministry
• Develop future musicians and worship leaders in the church in the College community (Berkeley College of music, Emerson college, Boston Conservatory, etc.)
• Provide oversight to the tech Director, the graphic designer, and the communication team leads
