Next Generation Pastor Full Time

Job Description
We are currently accepting resumes for our Next Generation Pastor.  This man would be responsible for our Youth and Children’s departments.  The primary focus would be the Youth Pastor.  This candidate would also, coordinate, oversee, and train workers for our Children’s Ministry.

The ideal candidate for this position is a man with a deep love for Jesus Christ and His people; a visionary pastor who can inspire and oversee the NextGen ministries of Riley’s Creek; a mature Youth Ministry leader with a specific passion and gifting for teen ministry; a pastor who thrives in a team environment; and who is able to connect well with people of all ages.

This pastor is the primary leader and director for all age-graded ministries:  Nursery through Youth at Riley’s Creek.  He is tasked with overseeing the other NextGen Ministry Directors while serving as the Youth Ministry Director.

General Expectations

-Lead, by example, the disciplined Christian life exhibited by an exemplary attitude, a vibrant personal devotional life, personal evangelism, and a love for Jesus.

-Cultivate an atmosphere of camaraderie and teamwork with everyone involved in the ministry.

-Set the example of servant leadership by leading in a way that demonstrates humility and the willingness to do what he asks others to do.

-Set the example of excellence by doing his best and expecting the best from everyone else.

-Undergird the simple discipleship purposes of Riley’s Creek in all he does:  Worship, Connect, Serve, and Share.

Specific Expectations

-Oversee, organize, and lead the age-graded ministries of the church:  Nursery through Youth

-Provide vision and direction for the intentional discipleship of all children and teens entrusted to these ministries.

-Act as the point man for the age-graded ministries of Riley’s Creek, providing a consistent presence in the programming and events of the NextGen ministries.

-Coordinate, execute, and communicate a calendar of NextGen ministry activities that will foster evangelistic opportunities, positive peer group development, spiritual growth, and engaging events for all ages under this position.

-Provide counseling, pastoral care, on-call weekends, and preaching in Sunday worship if needed.

Youth

-Serve as the Ministry Director for the Youth Ministry of Riley’s Creek. (Grades 6-12)

-Recruit, organize, and oversee the appropriate volunteers to accomplish this very important work (Ex: Children’s Church teachers, small group leaders, Youth Worship Team, event volunteers, weekly helpers, etc.)

-Provide vision and direction for the intentional discipleship of teenagers.

-Coordinate a calendar of ministry activities that foster evangelistic opportunities, positive peer group development, spiritual growth, and fun events for the teenagers of Riley’s Creek.

-Cultivate a ministry culture that encourages parent involvement in every facet of the ministry.
