The Senior pastor shall be in charge of the welfare and oversight of the church and its ministries. The Senior pastor is the spiritual leader of the church and is responsible for establishing, communicating, and gaining support for the church’s mission. The Senior Pastor ensures that the church body is equipped and ministries are developed, implemented, and maintained to achieve the church’s mission. He shall serve as chairman and preside over the Church Council. He shall be an ex-officio member of all organizations, departments and committees. He may request a special meeting of the Deacons or any Committee according to the procedures which are set forth in the bylaws. He shall conduct worship services and on special occasions he shall administer the ordinances, and minister to the spiritual needs of the members of the church and community. He shall perform other duties that usually pertain to that office. He shall have charge of the pulpit ministry of the church for all regular and special meetings.
