Title: Stewardship Director
Supervisor: Lead Pastor
Supervises: Administrative and Support Staff, as assigned
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Purpose: The Stewardship Director provides leadership and oversight to the financial, administrative, and operational systems that support the mission of Rocky Creek Church. This role ensures that every resource (people, finances, and facilities) is managed with excellence, transparency, and a heart for Kingdom impact. The Stewardship Director helps create and maintain the structure that allows ministry to flourish by aligning resources with the mission to make disciples who take personal responsibility for Kingdom activity.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Stewardship
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and audits.
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and integrity in all financial processes.
- Partner with the Lead Pastor and Finance Team to create and manage annual budgets aligned with ministry goals.
- Manage contributions, designated funds, and expenditures according to established policies.
- Support capital campaigns and expansion efforts such as Mobilize & Maximize through detailed reporting and financial coordination.
Administrative Leadership
- Direct churchwide administrative processes, including HR, benefits, compliance, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain efficient systems for recordkeeping, contracts, and operational documentation.
- Develop and implement policies that promote clarity, consistency, and accountability across all ministries.
- Provide timely information, support, and solutions that enable ministry staff to serve effectively.
- Cultivate a culture of stewardship and helpfulness by modeling Christlike humility and accessibility.
Facilities Collaboration & Project Oversight
- Collaborate closely with the staff and Facilities Team to ensure alignment between ministry use, maintenance, and financial stewardship.
- Lead the administrative and contractual side of facilities, including bids, contracts, budgets, and compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison for architects, contractors, and vendors during construction or expansion projects, ensuring all details are organized and executed with excellence.
- Monitor project timelines, payments, and reporting for accuracy and accountability.
- Help ensure that every physical space reflects the mission and values of the church through careful oversight and faithful stewardship.
