Spanish Pastor Part Time

Purpose:  Making disciples through the Hispanic Ministry.
 
Pastoral Care
Provides pastoral care for Spanish members
Works intentionally to align with Rocky Creek Church as a whole
Agrees with and follows the Rocky Creek by-laws and policies
Coordinates with other pastors for pastoral care to all members
Works with church ministries (staff, deacons, other ministries) to meet needs
Works to provide unity among Spanish and English members
Ensures that church vision is implemented among Spanish members
 
Biblical Instruction
Prepares biblical sermons for Spanish service
Works with the Connections Coordinator to grow Spanish Gospel Groups
Preaches and teaches in ministry opportunities within Greenville
Leads personal disciple-making efforts
Provides biblical instruction in pastoral care situations
 
Spanish Missions
Helps plan mission trips to Spanish-speaking countries with the Mission Pastor
Trains members for mission trip experiences
Collaborates with Recommission Network churches for potential Spanish mission efforts
Coordinates language training within the church family
Works with Baptist missional efforts at the associational, state, and national level

Vocational Requirements:

Educated in theology, religious studies, or related field
5+ years experience as a pastor or in ministry leadership
Bilingual Fluency in Spanish and English
Live within a distance that doesn’t hinder the fulfillment of shepherding duties
Proven track record of growing a church congregation
Excellent preaching and teaching skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work well with a team and delegate responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of the Bible and Christian doctrine
Skills in public speaking and debate
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Legally Authorized to work in the United States
