Position Overview
Russell Baptist Church is seeking a Pastor of Worship who senses a clear calling to pastoral ministry through worship leadership. This individual will lead weekly corporate worship, oversee media and production ministries, and disciple volunteers within the life of the local church.

Our worship seeks to blend the richness of historic Christian tradition with thoughtful modern expression, always prioritizing congregational participation, theological depth, and biblical fidelity.

This is not merely a music role—it is a pastoral position within a church deeply committed to expository preaching, doctrinal clarity, and intentional discipleship.

Primary Responsibilities
Plan and lead weekly corporate worship in collaboration with the Lead Pastor
Ensure worship gatherings are Christ-centered, biblically faithful, and congregationally engaging
Recruit, train, and disciple worship and production volunteers
Oversee media, livestream, and technical ministries
Develop a leadership pipeline for musicians and technical team members
Support student worship development in partnership with the Youth Pastor
Serve as a member of the pastoral team

Required Qualifications
Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a calling to pastoral ministry
Affirmation of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
Commitment to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture
Strong leadership and communication skills
Theological maturity and pastoral character

Preferred Qualifications
Ministry leadership experience in worship or pastoral roles
Theological education or formal ministry training
Experience recruiting and leading volunteer teams
Familiarity with worship planning and production systems

Compensation
Total compensation package ranges from $55,000–$78,000, including salary and benefits, depending on qualifications and need for insurance.
