Senior Pastor Full Time

Sacramento Baptist Church in Sacramento, KY is prayerfully and excitedly seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Pastor.  We are looking for the man God has prepared to be our next pastor; someone with a deep love for God’s Word and a conviction to preach it with clarity and power, a strong teacher of scripture, a compassionate leader and listener, a visionary with a heart for evangelism and community, a shepherd with a heart for pastoral care, and someone ready to grow with us both spiritually and as a church family.  Candidates should have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a calling to pastoral ministry, called by God and set apart for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).

We are located in McLean County in Western Kentucky and were established in 1898.  Our campus includes a beautiful sanctuary, an educational wing with a basement fellowship hall and a 3-bedroom parsonage.

Sacramento Baptist subscribes to the doctrinal statement of the Baptist Faith and Message, is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Daviess-McLean Baptist Association. We band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, committed to sharing the good news of salvation to the lost and unchurched in our community. The ordinances of the church are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The Senior Pastor is the spiritual leader of the church, responsible to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and is committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9). We do not adhere to Calvinist doctrine.

Some of the most important responsibilities of our pastor include:

Preach the Word of God – prepare and deliver spirit-led sermons.

Plan and conduct the Sunday morning worship, Wednesday prayer meeting, and lead in observance of ordinances.
Lead the church in an effective program of witnessing and in a caring ministry for persons in the church and community.
Regularly visit members (including hospitalized, homebound, nursing home, assisted living, etc.) and prospects.
Conduct counseling sessions, perform wedding ceremonies, and conduct funerals.
Work alongside the deacons, church officers, and committees as they perform their assigned responsibilities.
