– The Associational Mission Strategist (AMS) should at all times exemplify character and
qualifications consistent with that described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
• Administration
– Supervise all SEARKBN staff including ministry assistant(s), intern(s), and any future staff
positions that may be added, ensuring accountability to tasks each may be responsible for
per his/her job description
– Oversee administrative matters relating to the network budget including leadership in the
annual development of said budget along with its daily management, and a commitment to
good stewardship of the network’s financial, physical, digital, and human resources.
– Oversee matters relating to business needs/expenses like utilities, insurance, as well as the
upkeep (replacement or repair) of SEARKBN property, vehicles, furnishings, equipment,
and other resources
• Communication
– Ensure network churches are being adequately communicated with via social media,
website, email, texts, publications, the SEARKBN App, etc.
– This would include timely communication and updates in all of these areas regarding
upcoming events, meetings, opportunities for ministry/missions, needs, and so on.
– Develop and publish an annual calendar of events relevant to our churches
• Relationships
– Demonstrate diligence in developing and maintaining relationships with network pastors
and church staff through visits, meals, coffee, texts, emails, worship/event attendance, etc.
in a way that communicates care and concern through counsel and encouragement as
needed or requested
– Serve as a liaison between SEARKBN and the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, staying
abreast of events, ministry opportunities and happenings pertinent to our churches, being
engaged in state events like the Annual Meeting, Evangelism Conference, AMS
retreats/events, and accepting leadership roles therein as deemed feasible and
appropriate
• Church Support
– Be available for pulpit supply, interim support, search committee training, conflict
resolution, counsel, etc to all SEARKBN churches
– Offer training events for ministry, missions, discipleship, evangelism, and biblical
education
• Ministry/Missions
– Develop ministry/mission opportunities for churches to participate in that include an Acts
1:8 strategy of international, national, state, and local trips/events and strategies that will
be made available to SEARKBN churches
– Maintain Disaster Relief ministry resources like trailers and other equipment that can be
utilized by churches to go on trips where disasters may occur as well as providing the
necessary training to use these resources.
– Develop camp experiences for children and youth as deemed necessary and give
leadership to those events including the setting of dates, selection of speakers/worship
leaders, volunteers, oversight of curriculum choices, activities, etc.
– Maintain a connection with declining churches, being available to assist as needed with
revitalization/renewal/replant efforts and needs as necessary.
– Assist in the evaluation and intentional follow-up action of church planting
needs/opportunities within the SEARK region
– Be sensitive to opportunities to come alongside churches to assist, empower, enable, and
envision new ministry strategies and methods with which SEARKBN can be helpful
• SEARKBN Meetings
– Lead out in the development of agendas for quarterly, annual, or special-called meetings,
as well as making sure all materials (printouts, presentations, etc) are ready and available
for participants to review
