Pastoral Job Description General Description of Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct worship services: prepare and deliver sermons and lead observances of the church by-laws.
• Lead the church in an effective evangelism program and in a caring ministry for those in the church and the community.
• Lead an effective program of visiting sick and shut-in members and prospects.
• Conduct counseling sessions, wedding ceremonies and funerals.
• Lead the church in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating all church programs and ministries in conjunction with Deacon and Official Team Boards.
• Represent the church in community activities and civic matters.
• Work with deacons, Official Team, church officers, and committees/auxiliaries as they perform their assigned responsibilities.
• Supervise the work of the ministry staff, both volunteer and paid ministers and directors.

MMMBC Pastoral Application (2 Critical qualifications) –

• Must be licensed and ordained.
• Must be of the Baptist Faith.
• Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in the ministry or a combination of education and experience.
• Must possess the following attributes: personal relationship with Jesus, integrity, passion, vision, humility, fiscal responsibility, purpose driven, good communication skills, encourager, mentoring skills, peaceful, patient, a teacher, gentle, not quick tempered, demonstrated perseverance.
