Pastor/Director Of Youth & Family Outreach Part Time

JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Elders and our Youth Ministry Team in leading the congregation to reach and disciple youth and their families with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The candidate will work with the Lead Pastor to develop a comprehensive ministry to connect youth and their families to gather in faith (gospel), grow in hope (family discipleship), and go in love (mission). The focus of this position is with youth 6th-12th grades and bridging with age group transitions before and after.

Additional qualifications and expectations are as follows:

• To model Christ-like character and lifestyle outlined in 1 Timothy 3.

• Able to pass a background check in working with minors.

• To become a meaningful member of Severna Park Baptist Church.

• To grow in your love for God and the people with awareness of the broader Severna Park community.

• To participate in weekly worship services and some leadership meetings (monthly/quarterly).

• To be a team player who can work well with others and mobilize members and volunteers to fulfill the Great Commission locally through outreach to youth.

• To enjoy interaction with all ages and generations.

• Approximately 15 hours of work each week (ex: Sundays 9am-1pm; Wednesday 6:00-8:30pm; Weekly preparation tbd). Ministry is always an investment of time and energy. This is a part-time position but could grow over time.
