Shadow Mountain is a church situated in the Carson Valley looking at the Sierra Nevada’s. We are in a beautiful place that sits in a part of the country that is 95% unchurched. The mission-field is ripe and we are forever looking for laborers to go into the field! We desire to Turn Ordinary People Into Extraordinary Disciples.
 
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Worship Pastor/Worship Director, working in cooperation with the Senior Pastor will lead the congregation to worship in spirit and truth. Shadow Mountain has an amazing worship team presently made up of a keyboardist, a guitarist, a drummer, and two vocalists. We are looking for someone who will lead us with passion, Biblical and theological veracity, creativity, and will be sensitive to the congregation, the community, and where the spirit leads. Although we are interested in a blended service in reference to ‘style’, we are more concerned with the idea that the gospel is preeminent, and lives are changed as the result of all that we do here!
 
THE PERSON GOD LEADS US TO WILL:
 
Model for the church a life of worship.
Maintain unity and cooperation in the church.
Help the congregation understand the concept of biblical worship
Help the congregation fully engage in corporate worship.
Sing biblically rich songs.
Support the entire ministry of SMC.
Recruit, develop, schedule, and equip ministry volunteers to serve the worship and tech teams.
Coordinate the purchase of music, supplies, materials, equipment, licensing for use of music etc.
 
 
Education/Experience
 
Although education in the field of music is not ‘required’ it would be a huge plus.
Ministry training or experience in ministry is preferred.
A Passion for God’s Word, prayer, evangelism, disciple-making, & missions are all required.
Need to be skilled in vocals, a strong but compassionate leader.
Prefer to be skilled with instruments, and able to lead instrumentalists.
Must be a born-again Christian who affirms the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
