Children’s Director Part Time

Shady Grove Baptist Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Director to lead and grow our children’s ministry. This is a part-time position designed for someone who has a genuine heart for serving children and helping them grow in their faith.

Position Overview:
The Children’s Director will work alongside our Children’s Committee to plan, organize, and lead engaging ministry opportunities for children in our church and our community. This role includes regular weekly responsibilities as well as special events throughout the year.

Schedule Includes: (20 hours per week)
Sunday Mornings
Wednesday Nights
Additional flexibility during the summer and key church event seasons (Christmas, Easter, etc.)
Planning/Meeting with staff (Occasional afternoons/evenings

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and lead children’s ministry activities and events
Collaborate with the Children’s Committee
Create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for children
Communicate effectively with parents, volunteers, and church leadership
Evaluate ministry effectiveness and make improvements as needed

Qualifications & Expectations:
A strong heart for children and church ministry
Clear communication, strong organization, technology and preparation skills
Friendly, outgoing personality (Will be working at check-in/out desk to engage with families)
Previous experience working with children (required)
Ability to evaluate programs and adapt for growth and improvement
Willingness to align with the vision and mission of Shady Grove Baptist Church
Must attend Shady Grove Baptist Church if hired
Values family involvement in ministry
Can take constructive criticism from volunteers
 A formal degree is not required; however, relevant experience is necessary.
