Children’s Director Full Time

CHILDREN’S DIRECTOR

Position Summary

Shady Grove Baptist Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Director to lead and grow our children’s ministry. This is a full-time position designed for someone who has a genuine heart for serving children and helping them grow in their faith.

The Children’s Director will work alongside our Children’s Committee to plan, organize, and lead engaging ministry opportunities for children in our church and our community. This role includes regular weekly responsibilities as well as special events throughout the year.

Qualifications and Expectations

– A strong heart for children and church ministry

– Clear communication, strong organization, technology and preparation skills

– Friendly, outgoing personality (Will be working at check-in/out desk to engage with families)

– Previous experience working with children (required)

– Ability to evaluate programs and adapt for growth and improvement

– Willingness to align with the vision and mission of Shady Grove Baptist Church

– Must attend Shady Grove Baptist Church, if hired

– Values family involvement in ministry

– Willing to take constructive criticism from volunteers

– Attend one worship service per week for spiritual growth and serve with the children during other worship services.

– A formal degree is not required; however, relevant experience is necessary

 

Schedule (25-30 Hours Per Week)

– Sunday Mornings (All services)

– Wednesday Nights

– Additional flexibility during the summer and key church event seasons (Christmas,

Easter, VBS week, etc.)

– Monday through Wednesday office hours (9:00am-3:00pm)

 

Key Responsibilities

– Plan, organize, and lead children’s ministry activities and events

– Collaborate with the Children’s Committee

– Create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for children

– Communicate effectively with parents, volunteers, and church leadership

– Evaluate ministry effectiveness and make improvements, as needed
