Silver Springs Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church located at 308 Thornton Avenue in Princeton, WV. The church was constituted in 1914 as a community church, and in 1965, along with 17 other congregations, became charter members of the Mountain State Baptist Association. We are a small, country church located just inside the city limits of the City of Princeton. The overall population of Princeton is 5,600; however, there is a large population situated just outside of the city limits.

Our services currently consist of Sunday morning worship, Sunday evening Sunday School for all ages, and Wednesday evening adult prayer meeting and Bible study along with classes for all youth groups. We participate in Southern Baptist events, and our Vacation Bible School is one of the highlights of our year. We currently average about 65 people on Sunday mornings, and 30 on Sunday evenings. During the past two years we have baptized 13 individuals.

Our facilities consist of a worship sanctuary that seats 100+, adult and youth classrooms, a fellowship hall, and an outside covered picnic shelter. We own two rental properties adjacent to the church that are both currently occupied. We do not have a parsonage.

Being a small congregation, we are currently seeking a bi-vocational pastor. We believe that our salary package is competitive with other churches of similar size. We do not provide housing residency for the pastor, but we do include a housing allowance and participate in the annuity board provided by the Southern Baptist Convention. Our service schedules have been beneficial and effective for some time; however, we are flexible and always looking for ways to promote growth of Spirit and discipleship.

Finally, and most importantly, we want to grow the gospel. We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God; and our pastor will be a man who can lead us into a closer relationship with God and to each other. We follow the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We will follow all Biblical standards when choosing our pastor and we expect our pastor to follow Biblical standards when sharing the Message.
