Discipleship Pastor Full Time

Simpsonville Baptist Church is seeking a full time Discipleship Pastor. We will receive resumes until February 28, 2025. Simpsonville Baptist has a vibrant membership that is currently experiencing consistent growth in attendance and membership in Sunday morning worship services and Wednesday evenings and other events.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Bible Studies to encourage believers to grow in their personal relationship with God.  This is to be accomplished through our Sunday School structure and throughout the week with focus groups, Home Bible study groups, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Senior Adult Ministry, support for our Property Team and Custodian Staff. The candidate will be a team player supporting the Simpsonville Baptist church staff.

Qualifications: Seminary Degree in Religious Education or related degree is preferred.  Experience in leading adults to grow in their knowledge and practice of God’s word.  Demonstrate ability to work in teams, proficient in administrative skills, possess media/technology skills, networking, and leadership skills.

Simpsonville is a suburban community located in western Shelby County just east of Louisville, Kentucky. Simpsonville is a small, yet beautiful downtown with farmer’s markets, parks, an elementary school, coffee shops and shopping while also having the largest city in the state at your fingertips.
