Purpose

The NextGen Pastor provides visionary, spiritual, and strategic leadership for all ministry environments from birth through young adulthood. The role ensures a cohesive discipleship pathway that equips the next generation to know, love, and follow Jesus for a lifetime. They will directly oversee team leaders and volunteers working with: Wee-Kids, Kids, Students, College / Career, Young Adult.

 

Skills & Abilities

● Able to provide visionary and strategic leadership to NextGen ministries.

● Effective communicator and vision-caster.

● Experienced team leader and developer of people.

● Thinks strategically and creatively.

● Embody and cultivate SFBC culture and DNA.

● Collaborative spirit in working with the ministry staff as well as volunteers.

● Able to make sound, timely decisions.

● Able to lead and influence even where there is no positional authority.
