Family Pastor/ (Part‑Time or Full‑Time)

South Harriman Baptist Church – Harriman, Tennessee

South Harriman Baptist Church (SHBC) is seeking a part‑time or full‑time Family Minister/Pastor to lead and oversee ministry to youth, children, and their families. This role is central to our mission of evangelism, discipleship, and spiritual development across the next generation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach and disciple youth with biblically sound, Christ‑centered doctrine
• Provide leadership, vision, and oversight for children’s and youth ministries
• Recruit, equip, and support volunteers serving in children’s and youth ministries
• Plan and coordinate special events for children, youth, and families
• Build relationships within local schools and the broader community
• Assist with church social media and communication efforts
• Support the pastor in additional ministries, outreach, and pastoral responsibilities
• Participate in corporate worship services, with opportunities to preach

Qualifications

Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
A mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects biblical character
Strong communication and organizational skills
A collaborative, team‑oriented approach to ministry
A heart for reaching and discipling families
