Next Gen Ministry Intern Full Time

The Next Gen Ministry intern would be responsible for aiding the Next Gen Ministry in planning events, weekly teaching, intentional discipleship, and outreach strategies for both student & college ministry.

Job Title: Next Gen Ministry Intern

Pay Grade: Part-time, hourly (10-20 hours a week) 

Accountability: Reports to Next Gen Pastor

Primarily Function: This position primarily assists the Next Gen Pastor for leading the student ministry and college-aged ministry. 

Requirements:

• Is a fully devoted follower of Christ.
• Fully supports the vision & mission of South Haven Baptist church.
• Makes sharing his/her faith a priority. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting in leading the youth and college ministries.
• Assist the Next Gen pastor in championing families, youth, and college-age students.
• Help lead the student ministry and college ministry on a weekly basis.
• Required to lead at least one weekly small group Bible study in the student ministry or college ministry.
• Interact and communicate effectively with church members, staff, and community members, while building and strengthening relationships and connections.

Expectations:

• To keep a daily devotion time with Christ in the Word and prayer.
• Is present at Sunday services and Wednesday evening activities.
• Meet with Next Gen paster weekly to plan & review upcoming ministry plans.
• Present at student ministry & college ministry events and trips throughout the year.
• Is sincere, worthy of respect and of a good reputation.
• Has a genuine desire to serve and minister to other people.
• Leads, motivates, and teaches other people.
• Creates positive group dynamics and resolves conflict within the group.
