Bi-Vocational Youth Director Part Time

Southside Baptist Church, Shelbyville, TN, is seeking a bi-vocational youth director for our growing church. Our youth department is experiencing growth and desires someone to direct our youth in their spiritual growth.

Role and Responsibilities

The Youth Director will be responsible for:

– Delivering strong biblical teachings and training to youth in grades 6 through 12.

– Maintaining a primary work schedule that includes Sunday morning worship and Wednesday evening Bible study.

– Adjusting hours as needed for additional activities.

– Planning and conducting outside youth activities, aiming for quarterly events and outings.

– Proclaiming the Gospel to both believers and non-believers within the youth department. The church currently utilizes the Lifeway curriculum.

– Working under the supervision of the Pastor and the Deacon body.

– Serving as a spiritual leader for our church community.

Qualifications

– Devout Christian and active member of a Baptist church

– Previous experience working with youth

– Proficient in coaching and counseling young people

– Capable of passing a background check

– Possesses a Tennessee driver’s license

– Committed to nurturing youth in their faith in Christ
