ActiveDescription The Children’s Ministry Leader/Pastor is responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering the 10:30 am Children’s Worship Service and Stonebrooke Church mission for preschool through 6th grades; seeking to connect children and their families to Christ, to Stonebrooke Church and to the world. Essential Duties -Develop a well-defined vision and strategy for spiritual growth and instruction within the children’s ministry that works in conjunction with the overall vision and ministry of Stonebrooke Church. -Research, choose and implement curriculum that is dynamic, Biblically based and helps children connect with God and grow in faith. -Purchase and prepare craft activities and any materials for classes. -Develop annual children’s ministry budget and monitor monthly spending within the approved budget. -Recruit and train volunteers to help with Childrens Ministry at Stonebrooke Church. -Responsible for the safety of children by ensuring that all volunteers and teachers have a filled out application and have cleared background check before they serve. -Implement Stonebrooke Church Children’s Ministry Policies and Procedures. -Keep current with federal and state requirements for church children’s ministries. -Ensure volunteers and teachers are equipped with necessary materials and comprehend the lesson of the day to help execute lessons. -Send volunteer reminders using Planning Center of their upcoming duties. -Confirm that all members, attenders, volunteers and visitors are properly registered and checked-in on Sunday using Planning Center for check-in and check-out procedures. -Make sure classrooms are safe, clean, neat and inviting weekly. -Actively recruit children and families and develop programs to bring new families to Stonebrooke Church -Organize and promote children’s outreach event every quarter including Vacation Bible School. -Must attend Stonebrooke weekend church services, become a church member, and be willing to help wherever there is a need. Qualifications & Skills This position requires a faith-filled, nurturing and dedicated individual who is passionate about working with children and their families. Must have a proven ability and experience to train, recruit, communicate and delegate duties among large group of people and be well organized. Must have efficient skills with basic office equipment and possess general computer and social app abilities. Church ministry experience highly desired. Pay: $200/week. Part time, no benefits. Hours: Every Sunday and one mandatory office day per week of choice (Monday – Thursday). Approximately 10 hrs a week (3 on Sundays and 7 during the week).
