TCAA is a growing multigenerational church located in Glendale, AZ (northwest Phoenix area). On average, we host 250 to 300 people between our two Sunday morning services. Our church sits at the epicenter of a massive residential area that is being reinvigorated with young families.
Things are vibrant and growing. Recent direction towards an Acts 2:42-47 vision has ignited a season of clarity, familial bonding, energy, and excitement throughout our church. We are looking for a pastoral leader to help establish this vision in our worship gatherings, fostering a flourishing Kingdom community that is unified, passionate, and activated. This person would see worship leadership as a pastoral calling, shepherding our church’s spiritual formation through song, Scripture, and prayer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- General pastoral duties (involvement in church life, counseling, member care, etc.).
- Collaborate with lead pastor to develop and implement a biblical worship philosophy, and to plan services.
- Develop a biblical worship culture that nourishes our church’s intimacy with God and surrender to Him.
- Be present to lead rehearsals and Sunday worship each week (as well as seasonal special events).
- Oversee our worship team (instrumentalists, vocalists, tech). This includes recruitment, onboarding, development, and ongoing spiritual/organizational oversight.
- Operate as a present, proactive, Kingdom-minded team player on our staff.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrable new life through saving faith in Jesus.
- Confident knowledge of God’s call into pastoral ministry, being qualified per 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Alignment with TCAA’s statement of faith, values, and vision.
- Ability to self-start and organize purposeful ministry activity at a high-level of excellence.
- Proven pastoral experience in life care, teaching, and disciple-making.
- Strong relational skills to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and members.
- Clear vocal ability and proficiency in piano or guitar.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead volunteer worship teams.
- Proven ability to lead growing congregation in dynamic, curated, heart-level worship experiences each week.
- Knowledge of music theory (vocal parts, key signatures, music notation, chord structures, etc.).
- Skill utilizing worship software/programs (Planning Center, SongSelect, MultiTracks, ProPresenter, etc.).
- Associated undergrad/graduate degree is a major plus.
