Youth Leader Job Description
Here at the Journey, we are a small but growing church. We average around 80 people on a Sunday. What makes our church unique is that a good majority of the members come from rough backgrounds and have made poor choices in life. Not to say that we all haven’t sinned. But by the saving grace of Christ, not only have they received forgiveness and life, but the Lord has been working in their lives. A lot of the people in our church are young believers, and it has been amazing to see the transformation the Lord has been working in people’s lives. Here, we prioritize equipping individuals and families with biblical principles to help them grow in Christ and glorify Christ in their lives.
 
Salary: $11,000 a year
 
As the youth leader, your responsibilities will be to:
1.     Prepare bible studies for both Wednesday nights and for Sunday school. 
 
2.    Encourage and help students to study God’s Word during their own quiet time. 
 
3.    Maintain good relationships and communication with both students and parents.
 
4.    Provide biblical counsel to students.
 
5.    Help build a bond with the youth and adults of the church. 
 
6.    Prepare special events for youth fellowship and outreach.
 
7.    Plan events in which students can serve the community.
