We launched with just over 130 people and now have on average between 900-1000 people attending. Care Ministry Coordinator

The Care Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between multiple ministry groups, providing administrative support and coordination services to ensure seamless ministry operations and effective pastoral care delivery. This position specifically supports the Executive Pastor, Connections Ministry, Counseling Ministry, PLACE Ministries, and Deacon Ministries. This role combines ministry coordination responsibilities with administrative excellence to support the church’s mission of caring for its congregation and community. This position offers an excellent opportunity to serve in a meaningful ministry role while utilizing administrative and coordination skills to support multiple aspects of church care and connection ministries.

Purpose of the Position

The Care Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between multiple ministry groups, providing administrative support and coordination services to ensure seamless ministry operations and effective pastoral care delivery. This position specifically supports the Executive Pastor, Connections Ministry, Counseling Ministry, PLACE Ministries, and Deacon Ministries. This role combines ministry coordination responsibilities with administrative excellence to support the church’s mission of caring for its congregation and community. This position offers an excellent opportunity to serve in a meaningful ministry role while utilizing administrative and coordination skills to support multiple aspects of church care and connection ministries.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Coordination

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Pastor and Executive Assistant
Coordinate schedules, meetings, and communications across multiple ministry groups
Maintain accurate records and databases for all supported ministries
Prepare reports, correspondence, and ministry-related documentation
Manage ministry calendars and coordinate cross-group activities
Ministry Support Services

Connections Ministry: Assist with new member integration processes, follow-up communications, and connection event coordination
Counseling Ministry: Schedule appointments, maintain confidential records, coordinate referrals, and provide administrative support for counseling services
PLACE Personality Ministries: Support personality assessment processes, coordinate training sessions, and maintain participant records
Deacon Ministries: Provide administrative support for deacon activities, maintain communication channels, and assist with care coordination efforts
Care Coordination Functions

Track and coordinate pastoral care needs across all supported ministries
Facilitate communication between ministry leaders and pastoral staff
Assist in identifying care gaps and coordination opportunities
Support crisis response coordination when needed
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Communication and Collaboration

Serve as primary point of contact between supported ministries
Coordinate inter-ministry projects and initiatives
Facilitate effective communication flow between groups
Participate in ministry team meetings and planning sessions
Prepare ministry updates and progress reports
Other Duties & Responsibilities

Recruit and equip church members and guests to volunteer for the work of the ministry
Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer and meditation.
Maintain proper priorities in your home
Be actively involved in the making of disciples.
Maintain wise stewardship of all God’s resources that He has given you.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Team.
Qualifications

High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting
Experience with ministry coordination or pastoral care support preferred
Knowledge/Understanding

Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and church management software
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, community, and particularly with executive level staff.
Listening skills with the ability to interpret and respond to personal and confidential situations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and events.
Ability to use MS Office, internet, email, and social media resources.
Experience with digital platforms and communication tools relevant to youth ministry.

Full-time position with standard office hours plus occasional evenings/weekends for ministry events
Office-based work environment with some community and off-site meeting attendance
Regular interaction with congregation members, ministry leaders, and pastoral staff
May require lifting up to 25 pounds for event setup and ministry materials
Reports directly to Executive Pastor
Works closely with Executive Assistant and ministry leaders
Coordinates with pastoral staff and volunteer ministry leaders
