Come join our amazing team working in the Western NC mountains. Our dynamic and growing church is looking to fill the role of a full-time Creative Coordinator. We are a 5 year old church that has seen the Lord do an incredible work. We launched with just over 130 people and now have on average between 900-1000 people attending. Creative Coordinator

The Creative Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between multiple creative ministry groups, providing administrative support and coordination services to ensure seamless creative operations and effective ministry delivery. This position specifically supports the Worship Pastor, Worship Ministry, Communications Ministry, IT/Tech Ministry, Marketing Ministry, and other creative elements of ministry. This role combines creative ministry coordination responsibilities with administrative excellence to support the church’s mission of creating compelling worship experiences and effective communication. This position offers an excellent opportunity to serve in a meaningful ministry role while utilizing administrative, creative, and coordination skills to support multiple aspects of church creative and worship ministries.

Purpose of the Position

The Creative Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between multiple creative ministry groups, providing administrative support and coordination services to ensure seamless creative operations and effective ministry delivery. This position specifically supports the Worship Pastor, Worship Ministry, Communications Ministry, IT/Tech Ministry, Marketing Ministry, and other creative elements of ministry. This role combines creative ministry coordination responsibilities with administrative excellence to support the church’s mission of creating compelling worship experiences and effective communication. This position offers an excellent opportunity to serve in a meaningful ministry role while utilizing administrative, creative, and coordination skills to support multiple aspects of church creative and worship ministries.

 

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Coordination
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Worship Pastor and Creative Ministry teams
Coordinate schedules, meetings, and communications across multiple creative ministry groups
Maintain accurate records and databases for all supported creative ministries
Prepare reports, correspondence, and ministry-related documentation
Manage ministry calendars and coordinate cross-group creative activities
Creative Ministry Support Services
Worship Ministry: Assist with service planning, coordinate rehearsal schedules, manage volunteer communications, and support worship team logistics
Communications Ministry: Support content creation workflows, coordinate messaging across platforms, assist with publication schedules, and maintain brand consistency
IT/Tech Ministry: Coordinate technical requirements for services and events, assist with equipment scheduling, support digital platform management, and facilitate tech team communications
Marketing Ministry: Assist with campaign coordination, support event promotion efforts, maintain marketing calendars, and coordinate creative asset development
Creative Coordination Functions
Track and coordinate creative project timelines across all supported ministries
Facilitate communication between creative ministry leaders and pastoral staff
Assist in identifying creative resource needs and coordination opportunities
Support event production coordination when needed
Maintain project management systems for creative initiatives
Coordinate creative asset sharing and version control
Communication and Collaboration
Serve as primary point of contact between supported creative ministries
Coordinate inter-ministry creative projects and initiatives
Facilitate effective communication flow between creative teams
Participate in creative ministry team meetings and planning sessions
Prepare creative ministry updates and progress reports
Coordinate with external vendors and creative partners
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Recruit and equip church members and guests to volunteer for creative ministry work
Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer and meditation
Maintain proper priorities in your home
Be actively involved in the making of disciples
Maintain wise stewardship of all God’s resources that He has given you
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Team

Qualifications
High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in communications, marketing, arts, or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a church, creative, or nonprofit setting
Experience with creative ministry coordination, worship production, or communications support preferred

Knowledge/Understanding
Excellent organizational and time management abilities with experience managing multiple creative projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills with creative sensibilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, church management software, and creative software platforms (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
Ability to handle multiple creative projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creative work
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, community, and particularly with creative and executive level staff
Understanding of worship service flow and creative production timelines
Familiarity with social media platforms, website management, and digital communications
Basic understanding of audio/visual technology and production workflows
Experience with project management tools and creative collaboration platforms

Full-time position with standard office hours plus regular evenings/weekends for worship services and creative events
Office-based work environment with frequent creative spaces, sanctuary, and off-site meeting attendance
Regular interaction with congregation members, creative ministry leaders, and pastoral staff
May require lifting up to 25 pounds for event setup and creative materials
Occasional travel for creative conferences or external partnerships
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to Worship Pastor
Works closely with Communications Director, IT/Tech Director, and Marketing Coordinator
Coordinates with pastoral staff and volunteer creative ministry leaders
Collaborates with external creative vendors and partners
