Trenton Baptist Church is a friendly community of believers existing in an established church in rural Trenton, KY.  Trenton is 15 minutes from Clarksville, TN (Tennessee’s 5th largest city) and within an hour of Nashville, TN.

Applicants interested in this role either as a Student Minister or as a Pastoral Resident would be best suited if comfortable in a rural setting. Applicants who would represent a good fit may have interests that include: church health, church revitalization, and a general calling to the established church in America. Trenton Baptist Church seeks to invest both into their students as well as into the eventual person filling this role.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

• Weekly Teaching among students from grades 6-12.
• Planning and executing discipleship-oriented initiatives including occasional local events and annual camp trips.
• Participation in the ongoing life of the local church.
• Miscellaneous opportunities for service typical in a smaller church.
• 10-20 hours per week.

The ideal candidate would exhibit the following qualities:

• Exceptional personal character.
• Concern for doctrinal acumen combined with a practical love for people.
• Meeting the character and competency expectations found in the Pastoral Epistles.
• A love for the next generation and the ability to explain Scriptural truths in an appropriate and contextualized manner.
