Summary:
The Minister of Administration and Outreach is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours a week) that will play a critical role in supporting TCBC’s various ministries as well as managing administrative aspects of running the day to day operations of our church.
- Applications will be accepted from March 17-April 30, 2025
- This position reports to the Senior Pastor and chairman of the church management team.
- The salary for this position is $20-$30k commensurate with experience and skills.
- This is a part-time, contractual position.
- Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Church Communications: Regular communication and meeting attendance with Elders, Deacons, staff, church management team and ministry/committee heads. Oversee or produce our weekly e-mail newsletter. Provide design and printing for flyers, printouts, and other publications. Regularly update our website, Facebook page, and online platforms.
Publications: Prepare or oversee preparation and proofread materials for services such as slides, bulletins, etc.
Data: Collect and keep records for church services, events, and business (e.g. attendance, baptism, membership, officers, photos etc.). Manage and maintain church databases and directories (We currently use the Breeze CHMS platform).
Worship Service: Coordinate logistical aspects of TCBC’s worship services including coordinating with staff members and volunteers (praise team leader, A/V support ministry, children’s minister, director of facilities etc.). Maintain and improve our A/V equipment and supervise the A/V ministry.
Outreach and Missions: Assist, coordinate, and oversee occasional outreach and missions opportunities (e.g the Damascus Parade, Trunk or Treat, Operation Christmas Child, etc.).
Fellowship: Assist, coordinate, and oversee occasional fellowship events (e.g. church picnic, pot luck dinner, servant appreciation, etc.).
Candidate Requirements:
Demonstrated Christian faith commitment.
Strong knowledge and love for the Bible and affirmation of the core beliefs of the church (based on the Baptist Faith and Message 2000).
Willingness to work across denominations in community events and ministry.
Strong people skills.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in office software.
General tech trouble shooting skills and ability to learn new software.
Able to commit to working in person Sunday 7:30-12:00PM, Wednesday 5:00-8:00PM, scheduled office hours during the week, and meetings.
