Music & Children/Youth Minister
 
General Purpose of Position:
This is a full-time-preferred position giving leadership to the music and worship ministries of Trinity Baptist Church.
 
Additionally, TBC has a small, but growing group of young children and this position would also focus on programs that would develop and serve children, youth and family ministries.
 
Requirements for the Position:
Education:
·      Bachelor’s degree with areas of study focused on music ministry preferred
 
Experience:
·      Related experience in the local church setting, preferably as a staff member
·      Level of suitable vocal proficiency
·      Proficient use of instrument used in worship preferred
 
Music/Worship Responsibilities:
·      Work with the pastor in planning weekly worship services, special services and events.
·      Lead and oversee direction of the music, including choir, praise team and related groups.
·      Supervise accompanists, praise team and media team members.
·      Facilitate the music organization including the preparation and administration of the budget for worship ministries.
·      Coordinate usage and care of the sanctuary, sound, lighting and media equipment in conjunction with media team.
 
Children/Youth Responsibilities:
·      Lead children/youth teams to implement age-appropriate Sunday morning bible study classes and activities
·      Implement events/programs to build family/children/youth ministries. Working with pastor and teams, minister as needed to families/children/youth
 
Staff Member Responsibilities:
·      Serve as a part of the ministry staff team, assisting in ministry and service to the
membership of TBC and the surrounding community.
·      Prepare for, attend, and participate in all church conferences, deacons’ meetings, ministry staff meetings, and assigned committee gatherings.
·      Participate and attend all worship and corporate gatherings of the congregation, unless
duties related to the position (or other excused absences) require attendance elsewhere.
