Salary Range: $40-45k depending on education and experience

We are a church primed for explosive growth. Our Senior Pastor has a big vision for “making as many disciples as possible”! We are looking for a Director of Jr High Ministries with a heart to build and lead students to go and make a difference in the world for Jesus. We have a progressive style of worship in a large church setting (500+ with expectation of significant growth). Our JH ministry averages 25-30 students (which can easily double under the right leadership) and has a dynamic adult leadership team ready to support their new leader as they help to invest in the students. We are looking for an innovative, energetic, and creative leader who has a passion for Jr High Ministry.

The ideal candidate should be versatile with an ability to teach, lead, invest, develop, and care for the students and adult leaders. They will be responsible for all aspects of the spiritual growth and development for jr high students (6th-8th grade). Additionally, this person would oversee our internship program and provide guidance to the supervision and development of all interns on our team.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience leading in student ministry with 15+ students. Prefer 2-4 years experience leading student ministry of 30+ students. Use of ProPresenter, Planning Center, Social Media, Technology, & Christian School Ministry are strongly desired.

Education: Minimum- in pursuit of college degree with a clear call to ministry. Preferred- Bachelors Degree. Biblical Education or Seminary Training is a plus!

Basic Job Requirements:

-Responsible for leading, facilitating, programming, and participating in Jr High Ministry at Trinity which includes midweek services, Sunday morning programming, discipleship, missions, and events.

-Be a servant leader who encourages the spiritual growth and development of our jr. high students and creates and maintains a healthy culture for volunteer leaders to flourish.

-Plan, coordinate, and lead in providing opportunities with camps, mission trips, retreats, and special events.

-Plan out and manage an annual calendar of events

-Manage JH Ministry budget

-Be able to work as a team player with the church leadership team to accomplish our vision and strategy

-Recruit, train, and develop volunteers and leaders within the JH Ministry

-Set annual goals in correlation with our annual church goals and our church vision

-Be able to network and work with our Christian School as needed per our church leadership’s request

-Be open and available to take on additional assigned responsibilities as our church grows and ministries develop as assigned by the Senior Pastor

About Trinity:

-We are a biblically conservative Southern Baptist Church.

-Pre-Covid, we averaged 600-700 on Sunday mornings and we anticipate significant numerical growth again over the next few years.

-We have a Preschool-12th grade Christian Academy (Trinity Christian School). Under the new innovative leadership of our Executive Pastor & Head of School, Marcus Bellamy, we expect rapid growth and development.

Texarkana has a metro-area population of over 150,000 people. We are positioned in a prime location in the southwest corner of AR right off the interstate near the intersection of I-30 and I-49 between Dallas and Little Rock.
