About Us:

Viers Mill Baptist Church, centrally located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is seeking a Pastor to lead and shepherd our congregation.

Our church has served the community for more than 65 years and is part of a unique multicultural church campus. Several congregations share our facilities, including Mandarin-speaking, Cantonese-speaking, Spanish-speaking, and the English-speaking Fellowship congregation.

While each congregation functions independently, Viers Mill Baptist Church remains the main Baptist church on campus and maintains cooperative relationships with the other congregations. We periodically come together for combined worship services, fellowship, and community outreach opportunities that help strengthen unity and mutual support among the congregations.

Responsibilities:

As Pastor, our expectation is that you will inspire worship, provide compassionate pastoral care, and lead spiritual growth among our members. You will serve as the point of contact for community outreach and services, ensuring effective collaboration among our congregations. Additionally, you will assist in building stewardship, ensuring the upkeep and safety of our facilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $44,600/year
Housing: Church-provided parsonage INCLUDED
Doctrinal Alignment:

The candidate must affirm and be willing to preach and teach in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
Qualifications:

Deep dedication to the Christian faith
Ordained or open to ordination within the Baptist tradition
Seminary graduate
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience in pastoral ministry and church administration
