Minister of Music Part Time

West McComb Baptist Church is a SBC congregation located in the Sunny Hill community of McComb just one mile west of I-55. We are currently seeking a Minister of Music that meets this description:

A. Requirements/Qualifications
1. High school diploma
2. Clear call to ministry
3. Experience/Background in music

B. Time On Church Field
1. Part-time position
2. Minister shall keep an appropriate amount of office hours at the church, which shall be coordinated with the pastor.
3. Visitation with choir members
4. All services and church functions

C. Planned Activities:
1. Responsible for total church music program including revival planning.

D. General Responsibilities:
1. Develop order of services alongside the Pastor.
2. Direct Adult and Youth Choirs.
3. Coordinate with Handbell, & Children’s Choir leaders.
4. Coordinate all activities with Pastor and Music Committee.
5. Work with church council on planning music programs for upcoming year.
6. Oversee use and maintenance of musical instruments.
7. Develop musical talent within the church.

E. Responsible to:
1. Pastor first, Deacons second, and Personnel Committee third.
