West Side Baptist Church (WSBC) in El Dorado, AR is a vibrant, loving and established church with an immediate opening in the Student Ministry department.

General Job Description

The Student Pastor will be responsible to the Senior Pastor and work with all members of the church staff as necessary to plan, develop, implement and maintain comprehensive programs and ministries related to persons in school grades 7 thru 12.

Detailed Job Description

The following identifies the major responsibilities of the Student Pastor:

·       Conduct weekly mid-week services and Life Group meetings for the Student Department

·       Establish and maintain student ministry volunteer staff

·       Lead student department discipleship, missions and outreach/evangelism efforts

·       Maintain a campus ministry in El Dorado and surrounding towns

·       Create and manage annual budget plan approved per the Finance Committee

·       Develop and foster collaborative relationships with the parents of students

·       Attend weekly staff meetings & maintain consistent office hours

·       Other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor

Personal Qualifications

·       Possesses personality, temperament and interpersonal skills to relate and serve effectively within a multi-generational congregation setting

·       Exhibits evidence of Christian character and servant leadership as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9

·       Demonstrates evidence of a spiritually balanced life (prayer, Bible study, rest, worship, financial stewardship)

·       Aligns doctrinally with the SBC Baptist Faith & Message 2000, doctrinal positions, mission and core values

·       Possesses strong work ethic and personal integrity

Hours & Benefits

The Student Pastor position will be classified as full-time, salaried employee.  Benefits offered will be consistent with the current policy for insurance, paid time off (PTO) and holidays.  This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week.
