High School Pastor Full Time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Next Generation Pastor, the High School Pastor is responsible for overseeing the spiritual development and growth of high school students at Whitesburg Baptist Church.
The High School Pastor plays a vital role in guiding and shepherding high school students in their faith journey, both within the church community and beyond. This High School Pastor should have a passion for working with young people, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep commitment to helping young people grow in their relationship with God.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

• Demonstrate a Christ like attitude in performing all work in order to exalt our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
• Responsible for leading and overseeing the ministry to high school students, with a specic focus on outreach to students in public schools, Whitesburg Christian Academy, and the homeschool community. This includes developing relationships with students, families, and school sta in order to share the Gospel and provide spiritual guidance and support.
• Develop and implement a disciple-making strategy that will help students grow in their faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. This will involve planning and leading weekly gatherings, small groups, and other discipleship opportunities for high school students.
• Initiate evangelism, outreach, and follow-up eorts to reach new students and connect them to the ministry. This may involve organizing events, hosting outreach programs, and following up with students who have expressed interest in getting involved.
• Enlist and equip parents, volunteers and ministry leaders to help with evangelism, outreach, and follow-up strategy.
• Develop ongoing training for volunteers to serve in various areas of the Student Ministry.
• Under the supervision of the Next Generation Pastor, identify and coordinate the use of educational space and equipment to support the needs of the High School Ministry.
• The High School Pastor will be responsible for leading High School chapel services at Whitesburg Christian Academy. The High School Pastor will coordinate with Academy staff for chapel services.
• Under the guidance of the Next Generation Pastor, the High School Pastor will establish annual Goals, Objectives and Strategies. The plan will be presented annually to the Lead Team.
• Prepare an annual budget in conjunction with the Ministry Plan. Analyze costs and control expenditures.

As far as can be humanly discerned, the employee shall:

• Acknowledge Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior
• Depend fully on His wisdom, guidance and strength for his daily activities.
• Realize that his performance, dedication and attitude are under the scrutiny of both mature and weak Christians, as well as, unbelievers. He must ensure that his actions react honorably on Christ and the church.
• Must be called by the Holy Spirit to serve as High School Pastor, trained to serve in the capacity to which he is called.
• Must be skilled in personal evangelism.
• Must have a working knowledge of budgeting.
• Must have the ability to deal eectively and tactfully with Church personnel, members and the general public.
• Must be able to submit to spiritual authority.
• Must be capable of administering Church policies and procedures
