Senior Pastor Full Time

Zion Baptist Church of Slippery Rock Pennsylvania, is a multi-generational congregation that is devoted to the Word, centered on Jesus, committed to one another, and engaged in local and overseas missions. Located in a beautiful rural setting, Zion is just 15 minutes away from 5 different towns, and supported by the local farming community, making it perfect for ministry of all types. Zion has a rich 184 year history and has recently undergone a church revitalization process during the last two years. We are experiencing both a heart and mission renewal as a church family and we are hungry for what the lord would have for his people. We exist to Worship Christ, Serve Others, Share the Gospel, and Disciple Believers.

In addition to meeting the biblical qualifications for a Pastor/Overseer found in Ephesians 4:11-13, I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and I Peter 5:1-3, the ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiencies in preaching, teaching, servant leadership, and disciple making.

A college degree in Bible, Ministry or Theology is a plus but a firm calling and successful church ministry experience is preferred.

Our future pastor must exhibit a heart to shepherd God’s church as well as actively sharing the gospel.

Above all else, our future pastor must be a man of prayer, walking with God and living in the Spirit.

The church is Elder led, Leadership Team driven, and built on fellowship.

The Senior Pastor should inspire the ZBC Family to live out the gospel by actively embracing and fulfilling our mission as stated above.

This is a full-time position with a growing and motivated Congregation. Compensation includes full-time salary with stipends for medical and retirement as well as a parsonage for the Pastors family.
