The Associate will be working directly with the Executive Director/Lead Mission Strategist in implementing strategies and casting a vision for the work of the CKNB. As pastor of students, the Associate Pastor would be responsible for overseeing the student ministry of the church. This includes all aspects of programming for mid-week student Bible study, student activities, and student discipleship within the overall mission of the church. Additionally, the Associate Pastor is responsible for recruiting and training adult volunteers to assist with the student ministry.
As minister of education, the Associate Pastor is responsible for recruiting and training small group leaders, ordering and distributing curriculum, and serving as a liaison between small group leaders and the staff.

Description: FBC Murphy is seeking a part-time Worship Pastor who desires to honor, praise, magnify, and give glory to God. Primary responsibilities include equipping and leading the worship team to utilize their gifts and talents and working with the Senior Pastor to plan blended contemporary services on Sunday mornings that engage the congregation to worship in spirit and truth.

Part-time position - Sundays only; responsible for planning, implementing, developing, coordinating, and directing a vibrant, relevant children's program for nursery through 5th grade. The program needs to meet the the needs of our church families as well as reaching out to the unchurched families in our community. Programs should provide opportunities for children to grow in Bible knowledge and enhance their understanding of Jesus Christ.
- Support the Senior Pastor, serve on the Executive Council and the Senior Pastoral Team
- Shepherd and supervise several staff members to fulfill the established vision/values of the church
- Preach in worship services as assigned, lead outreach and evangelistic efforts
- Pastor a specific age group (most likely the 55 years of age and older group)
- Teach, motivate, and shepherd the congregation to care, pray, and deepen their faith and trust in God
- Shepherd, care, equip, train, and develop lay workers and ministry team leaders
- Master's degree in Divinity or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of experience in supervising staff preferred
- Be of Godly character and an example: humble, prayerful, teachable, accountable, pursue personal holiness
- Possess good people skills as a shepherd: approachable, available, compassionate, caring, handles problems with sound discernment
- Can share the Gospel clearly, teach the Bible effectively, and lead effectively

- Location: Pullman, WA (Home of Washington State University. Also, the University of Idaho is seven miles away in Moscow). Our church is made of up of mostly young families with children, university students and few senior adults.

- Contact and collaborate with the ministry key leaders, volunteers, directors
- Support the ministry directors to account for the equipment, maintenance, cleanliness, and supplies of children’s ministry spaces (i.e., classrooms, the nursery, supply spaces).
- Meet with supervising staff and other mentors for feedback, encouragement, and insight.
- Participate in evangelistic outreach to pre-Christian children and their pre-Christian parents by attending community events and through other opportunities.
- Connect with families (parents and children) in various ways, but in particular before and after weekly programs such as Sunday morning ministries, AWANA, Preschool and special events.
- Promote the children’s ministry (website, announcements, social media, community advertising, emails).
- Participate with other staff in staff meetings.
- Assess and understand current children’s programs and events, and consider supplementing them or replacing them with new programs and events in keeping with the vision.
- Recruit ministry directors as needed, and support recurring training for ministry volunteers.
- Provide pastoral care for children.
- Participate with other staff in retreats (usually once a year) as scheduled.
- Participate in ongoing personal training, education, and ministry research.
- Oversee budget requests and expenditures for all children’s ministries.
- Develop (with the staff and Leadership Team), post, and enforce children’s ministries policies.
- Train others to share the gospel if needed.
- Collaborate with youth leadership to provide a cohesive ministry from birth through adulthood.
