As pastor of students, the Associate Pastor would be responsible for overseeing the student ministry of the church. This includes all aspects of programming for mid-week student Bible study, student activities, and student discipleship within the overall mission of the church. Additionally, the Associate Pastor is responsible for recruiting and training adult volunteers to assist with the student ministry.

Job Title: Worship Pastor
Description: FBC Murphy is seeking a part-time Worship Pastor who desires to honor, praise, magnify, and give glory to God. Primary responsibilities include equipping and leading the worship team to utilize their gifts and talents and working with the Senior Pastor to plan blended contemporary services on Sunday mornings that engage the congregation to worship in spirit and truth.
Qualifications:
Part-time position - Sundays only; responsible for planning, implementing, developing, coordinating, and directing a vibrant, relevant children's program for nursery through 5th grade. The program needs to meet the the needs of our church families as well as reaching out to the unchurched families in our community. Programs should provide opportunities for children to grow in Bible knowledge and enhance their understanding of Jesus Christ.
- Support the Senior Pastor, serve on the Executive Council and the Senior Pastoral Team
- Shepherd and supervise several staff members to fulfill the established vision/values of the church
- Preach in worship services as assigned, lead outreach and evangelistic efforts
- Pastor a specific age group (most likely the 55 years of age and older group)
- Teach, motivate, and shepherd the congregation to care, pray, and deepen their faith and trust in God
- Shepherd, care, equip, train, and develop lay workers and ministry team leaders
- Master's degree in Divinity or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of experience in supervising staff preferred

- Participate in evangelistic outreach to pre-Christian children and their pre-Christian parents by attending community events and through other opportunities.
- Connect with families (parents and children) in various ways, but in particular before and after weekly programs such as Sunday morning ministries, AWANA, Preschool and special events.
- Promote the children’s ministry (website, announcements, social media, community advertising, emails).
- Participate with other staff in staff meetings.
- Assess and understand current children’s programs and events, and consider supplementing them or replacing them with new programs and events in keeping with the vision.
